Message	but Puget Sound Energy, Washington State and the Federal government are giving large $$$ incentives for off-grid production of electricity. Enough so that your return on investment is 3-8 years depending on the type of power generation you use. After that it's only the cost of gas, and if it's cheaper to use grid power than gas you can always switch back. Plus PSE will buy back any excess power you generate at 12 cents/kwh.
